AI assistants (MCP)
AI assistants (MCP)
Let Claude, Claude Code or Cursor read and write your test cases through the Model Context Protocol.
Cettara runs an MCP server, so an AI assistant can work on your tests directly: search cases, write new ones, file them into flows and milestones, and record manual runs.
Business plan. API tokens and connected assistants are part of Business.
What an assistant can do today
Manual testing and projects:
- list and read projects;
- search and read test cases, flows and milestones;
- create and update manual test cases, flows and milestones;
- read manual runs, start one, record each step's result, and finish it.
Automation tools — writing automated cases and starting automated runs — are next. They are not available yet.
What it can never do
- Delete anything. There are no delete tools.
- Change project settings.
- Do more than the person whose token it uses. Its access is the overlap of the permissions you granted, the projects you chose, and that member's own access at the moment of the call.
Two ways to connect
- One click, with OAuth — for the Claude apps. You approve on a Cettara page; there is no token to copy.
- An API token — for Claude Code, Cursor, and scripts.
Then see the tools reference and what an assistant is allowed to do.
